1. Licence Granted
When you purchase a BEFORE YOU INVEST (“BYI”) product, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the purchased files and materials for your own business, project or investment analysis.
2. Permitted Use
You may: download and store the purchased files; use the templates, spreadsheets, frameworks, prompts and reports for your own business or investment assessments; modify working copies for your own internal use; create analyses and outputs based on the purchased materials for your own decision-making.
3. Prohibited Use
You may not: resell or redistribute the original BYI files; share the purchased package publicly or with unrelated third parties; sublicense, rent, lease or commercially distribute the templates or substantial parts of them; upload the original files to public repositories, marketplaces, file-sharing services or template libraries; remove BYI branding or ownership notices for the purpose of reselling or presenting the original product as your own; use the purchased files to create a competing commercial template, toolkit or digital product that substantially reproduces the BYI materials.
4. Internal Business Use
A purchaser may use BYI materials internally within their own business or project team where reasonably necessary for the same assessment or project. This does not permit general redistribution across multiple unrelated businesses, clients or organisations.
5. Client or Advisory Use
The standard licence does not include the right to distribute the original BYI files to clients or use the product as a resold client deliverable. If broader commercial or professional use is needed, contact BYI for permission or an appropriate licence.
6. Intellectual Property
All original BYI templates, structures, written materials, frameworks, scoring systems, prompts, branding and associated content remain the intellectual property of their respective owner/operator. Purchase transfers a right to use the product, not ownership of the underlying intellectual property.
7. Updates
A purchase includes the version of the product available at the time of purchase. BYI may provide corrections, improvements or updated versions from time to time, but future updates are not guaranteed unless specifically stated as part of the purchased product or offer.
8. Major New Versions
Major new editions, expanded products, new modules or separately developed future products may be sold separately and are not automatically included in a previous purchase unless explicitly stated.
9. File Compatibility
BYI aims to provide files in commonly used formats. Compatibility may depend on the customer’s software, device, operating system or application version. Customers are responsible for maintaining suitable software to open and use the purchased files.
10. Licence Termination
The licence may be terminated if the purchaser materially breaches these licence terms. Termination does not limit any rights or remedies available under applicable law.
